CONSTRUCTION FEATURES:
Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) for all exterior walls, Frost Protected Shallow Foundation (FPSF). Trussed roof with energy heels. Standing-seem roof. Synthetic stucco.
UNIQUE FEATURES/CHALLENGES:
Frost Protected Shallow Foundation – This is a technique that allows for a very well-insulated foundation at a shallow depth, resulting in a high performance foundation with less material. High-efficiency boiler for in-floor radiant heat. Combined with a heat recovery ventilation system, and the super-insulated walls, this house is proving to be very efficient and comfortable.

HERS Score: 62 – Energy Star Rated. Air tight envelope – tested with blower door. Frost-protected shallow foundation. Bamboo floors. Low VOC paints.
